My mother’s daughter

March 9, 2009

She looked me in the eye and said, It is the right thing to do.  Even if you have to sacrifice for it.  Even if people don’t understand and blame you.  Even if you are alone.  Even if it is difficult.  The right thing to do is still the right thing to do.  And always do the right thing.

Tonight, I am proud to be my mother’s daughter.  I think I shall go tell her in the morning.
