3 verses and a song

December 27, 2007

The significance of this is probably only known to a select few but here is it for posterity.  Anyway, I probably needed reminding…

1.  “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?  Or who may stand in His holy place?  He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol or sworn deceitfully.  He shall receive blessing from the Lord, and righteous from the God of his salvation.  This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, who seek Your face.” (Psalm 24:3-6)

2. “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish.  Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”  (Esther 4:14)

3. “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying; “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?”.  Then I said, “Here am I!  Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)

4. And 1 song –

“In Christ alone, I place my trust

And find my glory in the power of the cross

In every victory, let it be said of me

My source of strength, my source of hope

Is Christ alone.”
